Meet the Team
With roots in both large urban districts and small rural schools, our team understands the full spectrum of instructional challenges educators face. Our team is a physical representation of the brilliance and possibility that grows out of underserved communities. We use lived expertise to help partners identify and remove inequitable math practices and build systems where every learner can succeed.
Kaneka Turner
Founder & President
Kaneka Turner is a lover of God, people, and learning—a natural connector and listening leader whose work is rooted in purpose, joy, and justice. For nearly twenty-seven years, she has championed equitable mathematics instruction and expanded what is possible for teachers and students across the country.
Kaneka is widely regarded as a master developer and facilitator of professional learning, having supported hundreds of thousands of educators, from classroom teachers to district and state leaders. Her expertise spans national curriculum authorship, large-scale implementation support, instructional coaching, and leadership development.
A proud graduate of North Carolina Central University (K–5 Elementary Education), The University of Phoenix (M.Ed., Curriculum & Instruction), and Mount Holyoke College (M.A., Mathematics Teaching), Kaneka brings a rare blend of deep content knowledge, pedagogical strength, and a people-centered approach to adult learning. She is the co-founder of the Black Women Rock Math movement, a national community uplifting the brilliance and leadership of Black women in mathematics education, and the founder of Reimage LLC.
Reimage was originally created to help adults and children rewrite harmful narratives shaped by traumatic school experiences with mathematics. Today, it has grown into a nationally trusted partner providing highly customized professional learning, implementation support, and coaching. Reimage skillfully crafts customized professional learning using site-based discovery data and grounded in problem-based, culturally responsive design.
Kaneka believes that the joy of learning lies in the journey, the challenges, curiosity, and sense-making that lead to true understanding. Through Reimage, she brings this belief to life, supporting school systems as they build capacity, align instructional vision, and create math classrooms where every learner experiences belonging, brilliance, and success.
